The Basics

With a groupage / part-load delivery service first & foremost it should be noted that this is the economy service which means you sacrifice time but hopefully saved money instead of using your own container. The shared service splits up the costs of shipping & delivery between many of you, making things a little bit cheaper overall. In order to maintain the agreed costs your delivery will be scheduled as and when we are in your area which is subject to other shippers agreeing to delivery date. This a tedious and time consuming process, we are fortunate to have a dedicated team working on delivery dates every day. Handling several hundred deliveries a week this means a lot of juggling and working with various requirements and demands. As such please be patient with us. We know that you have been waiting a long time for your shipments in many cases and often you will be relying on the items to furnish your home. We never want to hold your goods and so we will always try and find the earliest date possible. If you haven't had a date from us it means we are still working hard to get you in the schedule.

The Timeline

Timelines will vary but from arriving into port to our warehouse is around 5 days, final clearance and release by HMRC is completed approximately within 3 working days. Once cleared we will aim to get you a delivery offer within 2-3 weeks for England, 3-4 weeks for Wales, 3-5 Weeks for Scotland, 4-6 Weeks for Northern Ireland and for Jersey,  Guernsey, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man & Republic of Ireland around 5-6 Weeks. 

The Service

This may differ subject to the agreements in place we have with your origin agent but unless explicitly advised in your introduction email the following services are included in your delivery: 


Unload all furniture items into your new residence, unwrap & position once with removal of debris. Carry out simple reassembly of tables & beds (which do not require skilled labour or tools.) Basic assembly does not include new furniture, flat pack, bunk beds, wardrobes or desks. All cartons will be positioned in the relevant rooms.


Delivery services do not include the placement of items in cabinets, wardrobes or shelving units, or hanging of pictures or mirrors.

The Basics

With FCLs things move quickly and can become very costly if everyone isn't prepared ahead of the containers arrival into port. We will need your address and all the information on access to your residence including the parking situation (we may need up to 7-9 bays outside a property) to make sure everyone is fully prepared for the delivery. We check the address prior to booking in any delivery and the Hauliers for the container (3rd party, organised by shipping line) will also do a risk assessment. They have the final call on if a container will be able to be positioned directly outside your residence or if we have to carry out a shuttle service / go via warehouse.

The Timeline

From the time your container arrives at port to delivery is usually within 3-5 days. Your container only has 5 free days at port, after which time they will charge port rent * demurrage of varying degrees (£150 - £250+ PER DAY) so depending on the situation if you are not ready to receive your shipment we can leave at the port (if only needing a couple days) or bring into warehouse for storage (you won't be ready for 2+ weeks).

The Basics

Please note that as part of an Air Freight Shipment, delivery offers will be sent within an estimated period as indicated below from arrival into our warehouse and final customs clearance notice from HMRC (this can take up to 2 working days once in our warehouse).

The Timeline

From arrival into the airport to release is around 2-3 days, once released we usually have the goods collected within 3 working days. Delivery will usually occur between 1-2 weeks after this subject to availability of our vehicles.
